Our Wedding

<p>Our life began on February 14, 2024, after being mutual friends who supported each other through hard times. Early in our friendship Michael was grieving the loss of his sister Gaynell Johnson and Dana was there to listen. We started talking every day and soon discovered how much we had in common, what began as friendship grew into something deeper. Not long after, Michael suffered another devastating loss when his grandson Amour passed away suddenly. Through that grief we stayed steady for one another, leaning on love and patience. Over time we realized we weren’t just partners in hardship; we had fallen in love. We found a soulmate and a friend in each other, and we can’t wait to celebrate our marriage on September 6, 2026 in Hamilton, New Jersey.</p>

Andrea is Dana’s Youngest daughter and proud Maid of Honor. Thoughtful and warm, she balances family life with husband Yazman Robinson and their two children, Xaier and Yazlyn. Andrea has supported Dana through every milestone, bringing steady love, calm reliability, and a joyful spirit to the wedding party.

Shaherra is Dana’s eldest daughter and a cherished bridesmaid. Sweet and patient, she greets everyone with warmth and calm, leaving a lasting impression on all who meet her. Shaherra is the proud mother of one thoughtful, intelligent son, Khamarr, and she is the heart and soul of their family.

Jackie is Dana’s cousin who was raised alongside her as a sister. Warm and familiar, Jackie and Dana share a lifetime of family memories—Dana says if you want to know anything about her, Jackie will know it. The Bride   nickname for Jackie is Coco Swiss, and she answers only to that name. Role: Bridemaid

Keerah is Michael’s youngest daughter and a cherished bridesmaid. Confident and full of personality, she shares Michael’s spirit and quick wit. A devoted mother of four, Keerah is adored by her children and by her proud father. She jokes that she’s “the only child” and the favorite, and her playful, outspoken nature brings energy and laughter to the wedding party.

Ayanna is Dana’s sister/cousin and a beloved bridesmaid. Raised together in the same house, they share the same values and a deep, lifelong bond. Nicknamed Pecan Pie by the bride, Ayanna and Dana—along with Jackie—treasure one another and the virtues they grew up with: loyalty, warmth, and unwavering support.

Jualita is Dana’s lifelong best friend and Michael’s sister; she’s been in their corner from day one. A born matchmaker, Jualita helped bring Dana and Michael together and has lovingly supported their relationship ever since. Warm, reliable, and endlessly encouraging, she’ll be there to calm nerves, share laughs, and make sure the couple stays connected on the big day.

Za'Nylah Young is Michael’s great-niece and a beloved flower girl. Tender and bright, she honors the memory of her father, Ray-Ray, whose family treasures her—Michael imagines Ray-Ray smiling from heaven as Za'Nylah scatters flowers on their special day.

Cali is the bride Godson’s daughter and the Groom’s great-great niece. Playful and curious, she and the bride share a special little ritual—whenever they see each other they exchange the same whispered question: “Do you have a surprise for me?” That sweet, shared moment brings joy to everyone around her.
